Why Work with The Grubb Company?
Here's what our satisfied customers are saying about us:
I worked with Pam for 4 months looking for the perfect home. It's a competitive market buying in the Bay Area, and she was knowledgeable and patient helping me through the process. The value she brings to the table is she knows the East Bay neighborhoods and the listing agents. She does behind the scenes networking to provide you guidance and helps you understand what your competition is like. When I was ready to put in an offer, she acted quickly. She also provides recommendations on lenders who are ready to move as fast as you are. Pam got me to go outside of my comfort zone, but her goal is to get me to the table to be considered for an offer, even if it's not the highest one. Overall, I was happy working with Pam and would recommend working with her!

Pamela helped us find and buy the PERFECT house for our family.
I've seen others write reviews saying that Pamela was "pushy," or encouraged them to make offers higher than they were comfortable with. The truth of the matter is... Oakland/Piedmont/Berkeley is an extremely competitive and fast-paced market. Listing prices mean very little, offers can often be due in just days, and the comps from a few months ago may not be realistic today given how quickly market conditions can change by neighborhood. It takes a well-connected and knowledgeable agent to help guide the way.
Pamela always made it clear that we were ultimately in charge, but also set realistic expectations with us for how quickly and competitively we would need to be prepared to put forth offers. She connected us with a fantastic lender who offered us flexible options for our unique situation.
And she made herself available at all hours of the day and night.
We put ourselves in her capable hands, and were able to purchase a house that we LOVED in a neighborhood that we absolutely adore - despite not being the highest initial offer of multiples.
This real estate market is not for the faint of heart, and neither is Pamela. I mean that in the best possible way. She is a force, and we couldn't be happier to have her as our agent.

Pamela worked with us as a buyer agent and we're extremely disappointed with the process.
She is very pushy, and provides little information about the market or competing offers. Her only advice has been to offer the maximum amount of our underwritten loan, regardless of house. When we got a higher loan, suddenly a "good" price was that new amount. She pull disparate comps from all different regions, sizes and conditions of house. She uses terms like "median sale price" when comparing a house much smaller than median.
She did not offer any intelligent opinions on any house's quality. Every house was "must have" and every house was "the best you'll find. You can't lose this opportunity." She tried to pressure us into buying a house we didn't even look at.
We're not sure whose best interest she was representing at any time. We proposed an offer at a lower price and she argued with us for hours with repeated phone calls trying to convince us of paying more, after we told her that we need the night to think through it and don't call us if she don't have new information to present. Whether she was getting a kickback for the higher price or what, I would love to know why she would argue against our interests so much.

I used Pam as my agent in a very difficult situation, where the market wasn't offering very much that could meet my bare needs. Pam took the time to understand what I needed and my preferences in a home and did a great job of presenting homes that fit within those needs/preferences. As the near-right homes came on the market (as nothing was perfect), Pam would make sure I got the opportunity to see the home. After narrowing the selection down to a few homes, Pam was great at weighing the pros and cons with me. When it came time to put an offer together, she was very knowledgeable in how to win the bid process. With her by my side, I made an offer on one home and got it. If you're looking for someone who will advocate for you and what you need, Pam is the right agent for you.

Pamela is one of the best realestate agents you can ever hope to work with. She is patient, knowledgeable, attentive, and truly listens to help you find and acquire the home of your dreams. She was so fun to work with she really took the stress away from the various situations that come with home buying. Her background as an attorney was so valuable in deal negotiations. If you get the pleasure of having her as your agent you are truly fortunate.

Pamela was instrumental in helping my wife and I buy our first home. She knows the market extremely well and put us in the best possible position to close on our new home.
Her attention to detail and extensive knowledge of the process saved us time and money. Pamela was always responsive and is a master negotiator.
She was not only a great agent but treated us like family. We would highly recommend her to anyone, she is amazing to work with!

Pam Fullerton is an amazingly dedicated, knowledgeable, hard-working and focused real estate professional. I have found that Pam delivers a great end result for both buyers and sellers. In addition, her experience as an attorney lets her manage what can be a complicated process with grace and ease. I give Pam the highest recommendation.

Pamela has the energy, spunk, and knowledge to navigate this crazy East Bay housing market. After interviewing a few different realtors, it was clear that Pamela would be exactly what we needed in a real estate agent and we could not have been more thrilled. Her background as a lawyer has certainly instilled in her some keen negotiation skills, and her local knowledge as both a resident and active community member gave her insights that were priceless. For us, it just felt like Pamela would relentlessly persever on our behalf and she most certainly did.
Someone else wrote in their review that they sneezed and then owned a house, that Pamela can work that fast. I can not echo that more strongly. We met with her for the first time on a Saturday morning and went to look at two houses that day. We decided to put in an offer on that first house and within a week our offer was accepted, within a month we had closed and moved in. That never happens, who gets the very first house they put an offer on?! She knew exactly how to guide us in understanding and feeling comfortable with all aspects of the offer and helping determine the right price to offer. Pamela was also able to set us up with great loan officers to get financing squared away quickly and worked seamlessly with them to ensure everything went smoothly. From start to finish, the process was easy because of her attention to detail and caring patience with us as first time buyers having a million questions.
Pamela was such a joy to work with and I have no doubt it will be the same for you.

Pamela was a listing agent for us, I wouldn't recommend her, she is probably more of a buyers agent. She is her own person and doesn't listen to the sellers wishes. A lot of anxiety in this transition. I believe real estate transactions should go smoothly, this was a nightmare.
