Why Work with The Grubb Company?
Here's what our satisfied customers are saying about us:
If you know anything about real estate in Oakland, you know about Regina Jacobs. Her high quality work and 5-star reputation is well deserved. She is a professional all around -committed to her clients, competitive, confident and has great taste. Helping us get into our new home and selling our old home was completely seamless with Regina. She went beyond her role as an agent -helping us select bathroom tiles, bringing in her best contractors, and easing our stress throughout the whole process. Tom is her great sidekick, offering alternative ideas and thoughts to consider. Neither are afraid to give you their honest opinions. She should be followed by a camera crew and have her own reality TV show.

I have worked with many realtors in my day and I can say unequivocally that Regina Jacobs is the most committed, thoroughly engaged, and shrewdest realtor I have ever worked with. She provided extremely insightful guidance towards making our home as sellable and as beautiful as possible. She was right about what was important to change and what did not need to change. She was right about the sales price and right about how fast it would move. All the while making us feel like we were her only clients. (we weren't by a long shot)
I am a business owner, and hire many people and feel quite capable of making an honest assessment of Regina's abilities and let me say once more, they are stellar. If you are lucky enough to have Regina represent your home, you are in very good hands.

We actually did two transactions with Regina and Tom. First, they were the sellers' brokers when we bought our home back in 2013. While we thought we would be in it longer, we retired early this year and moved to the wine country. There was only one team we considered to sell our house based upon our previous experience - and you guessed it - Regina and Tom.
Their attention to detail, knowledge of the marketplace, and most importantly, command of the sales process are unmatched. Regina and Tom own Oakmore.
Regina may recommend that you do things that, at first, you wouldn't think of or want to spend the money on. Aside, she warned us up front that it takes money to sell a house. We took a gulp and followed her and Tom's advice.
I think the numbers speak for themselves:
100+ interested parties
45 disclosure packets sent out
12 offers, 5 all-cash
The largest sale this year in Oakmore
We only wish we could use Regina and Tom to buy a house up here in Northern California.

After a three year home renovation, we did the unthinkable. We decided if we were going to move, now was the time. Without hesitation, Regina was our choice of realtors. We have admired Regina's listings for many years in the neighborhood. Her homes are simply spectacular. Before our renovation, Regina was helpful with suggestions and recommendations.
Moving out of California, we left our home in her good hands to complete some finishing touches before putting it on the market. This was a decision not taken lightly but we felt very comfortable with Regina and her team to take care of our home.
If you could look up Regina Jacob's name in the dictionary, the definition would be listed under "Professional". Saying some one is a professional is very different than conducting one self as such. Regina is the consummate professional in all respects. She has years of experience, thoroughly understands the market and its trends and timing. As homeowners, we had to grapple with the concept our home was now an asset that required skillful and experienced marketing. Regina was both compassionate and understanding as she guided us through this, sometimes emotional, process. It became clear to us that Regina was more than just our agent, she was also our friend.
Recently, Regina was also our agent in a separate sell. Once again, this was handled in a professional and seamless manner. We cannot be more appreciative that in a time that can be very stressful, Regina rises above.

After living in our home for 52 years, my husband and I decided to sell our home because the 42 steps to the front door and 3 levels inside were becoming difficult for us octogenarians. I was dreading the process. We had kept the house structurally sound, but it needed a lot of work to make it ready to sell. We met with Regina and her husband Tom. They appreciated the craftsmanship of the house and thought that it could be made marketable and still keep its distinguishing features. They had done market analysis to determine the target market and estimated a selling price based on the improvements that needed to be done.
We had several meetings to develop a plan and working budget. We discussed what was worth doing in terms of return on investment as well as what would highlight the good features of the house, yet still respected our tastes. Tom acted as project manager in overseeing the remodeling of the kitchen, one bathroom, painting inside and out, refinishing floors and improving the landscaping. They used companies that they had previously worked with and that did high quality work at reasonable prices. Tom and Regina met with us weekly to go over the work and be sure we were keeping within the budget.
The photography and marketing of the house were spectacular. They knew the target market for a home with many steps on a narrow street. We ended up with 5 offers. Regina and Tom were very helpful in evaluating the offers and representing us. Needless to say, we were very happy with Regina and Tom and highly recommend them. They made the trauma of selling a beloved home much easier for us.

If you think you've got the bay area market nailed down, chances are you're wrong (sorry to say but very true). You need Regina and Tom to help you with the one thousand and one items to line up for the purchase or a sale.
We interacted with other agents earlier and nothing matches their skills, knowledge and drive to really help you. In my case, a buyer in today's market is hard and Regina/Tom will help you figure it out, is this house really worth it? What is a good about the location and why a fixer upper might be a bad /good idea? Many things to consider.
So, we are writing this 5 star review based on our interactions from day one to post-move-in. All the best to you and thanks Regina & Tom!

We first got to know of Regina and Tom as they were the selling agents on the home we purchased back in 2011. We were new to the area so did not know anything about them, but as we got to know the neighborhood over the next few years, we realized that they were the go-to agents in our area. We saw that their listings were always the best looking properties and the ones that sold for the highest amounts.
We met with Regina and Tom in 2014, and even though we weren't necessarily ready to sell, they provided us excellent ideas around home remodeling and helped us sync up with contractors to make our home much more appealing. We met with them again in 2015 as we were contemplating a move, and they did not disappoint us. They helped us showcase the house during a generally slow time of year, and were successful in getting many potential buyers to view the property, and ultimately got us multiple offers well above our asking price. We firmly believe that another agent would not have performed as well for us. I would note that it is important to give up some control and let Regina make some of the critical decisions. While it is sometimes hard to put money into a property that you are selling, it is important to realize that Regina knows what will help sell the property, and we received all of our investment and more on the back end.
Regina and Tom are great at their job, and we will certainly call on them again in the future.

We couldn't have sold our home without Regina. We had a lot to do to prepare our home for the market and didn't know where to begin. She guided us through the process from start to finish. We were able to sleep at night knowing we were in her capable hands. The final sales results far exceeded our expectations. Regina and Tom, her husband/business partner, educated us on the process and always responded in a timely manner to any questions that arose along the way. They are excellent communicators and are very tuned in to the needs and expectations of their clients. Additionally, Regina and Tom helped us with the purchase of our new condo. Needless to say, that was a smooth and relatively stress free process abetted by the professionalism of Regina and Tom allowing us get on to the next phase of our lives very happy campers indeed!

We first became aware of Regina several years ago during our dog walks and noticing houses with her For Sale signs being sold within a couple of weeks. The houses had all had great curb appeal and were very inviting. We had contacted Regina after my Mother passed away and were considering selling our family home of 60 years. We met with her and her husband, Tom, for a walk thru of the house and later for a very professional presentation on the current market and the services which they could provide. It was an easy decision to go with Regina and her team to prepare the house for sale along with the listing. The complete process was stress free, they brought in their vendors and provided the direction of bringing the house into a show piece. We received several offers above asking and couldn't have asked for a better experience.
When my wife and I decided it was time to put our home of 30 years on the market, all it took was a call to Regina. She and Tom came over and walked thru the house, it was amazing to see the excitement they both shared at the potential of the house. The house had been in our family for 44 years and during that time had minimal updating. They and their vendors took care of the whole project from the landscaping, painting inside and out, remodeling the kitchen and bathroom and completing the replacement of the front stairs/porch. We had already relocated out of the area and only made occasional trips in to see the transformation. I was very impressed with the quality of work their vendors provided and the whole project was stress free on our end. It was through their vision that the house had been transformed into a beautiful home.
It was time to put the house on the market, photos taken, website created, open house scheduled. We started getting calls from friends checking to make sure we still wanted to sell the house because since it looked so beautiful! It was very impressive to how well the house along with neighborhood was represented on the website that was created by Regina and her team. The listing was showing up all over the internet. The day of the first open house turned out to be first rainy day of the year, it sure didn't stop potential buyers from coming by. I believe that because of the marketing it created much excitement with potential home buyers.
We received 9 offers all above asking and the house closed in 25 days without any issues. We recommend Regina with the highest regard along with her team and vendors. We consider her and Tom friends and hope that they retire up here to the country by the time we consider selling our current house.
