Regina did a great job on the sale of my mother-in-law's home in Oakland. It was a time of great sadness for us, but she made the process relatively pain free, for which we are very grateful. The home required a great deal of TLC and Regina and Tom knew exactly what needed to be done to bring it up to date. We were amazed at how beautiful it turned out. We highly recommend Regina to anyone selling or purchasing a home. We could not have been happier with her efforts and our results.

Regina and Tom were fantastic in working with us to sell our Dimond/Oakmore home, and my wife and I recommend them without reservation. We were familiar with Regina's results based on seeing her signs pop up around the neighborhood, and watching the fantastic sales prices roll in on Redfin. When it was time to sell our home, Regina was the first person we called, and we're thrilled that we decided to work with her. Regina and Tom were well prepared and had great knowledge of the market, and presented realistic comps to set our expectations. When it was time for us to move out, we placed our trust in Regina and Tom, and they put on their general contractor hats and organized beautiful renovations to the home that made a tremendous difference in making the house more marketable. We were so impressed that the home was ready to go on the market when she said it would, and that everything happened inside the budget we agreed to. Regina was able to give us regular updates throughout a stressful process while we were out of town, and definitely provided a first class service. The final results were amazing, as we ended up selling at a price beyond our expectations, and the investments we made based on Regina and Tom's recommendations more than paid for themselves.

Back in 2011 I had cash burning a hole in my pocket and on the hunt for a home. Regina, representing the owners sold 2332 Leimert Blvd. to me. I was so impressed with her that over the years I maintained contact. Years go by, first a marriage and then a baby later it was time to move to Newport Beach. The decision to move was quite sudden and complicated since it involved moving my business & family in short order half way through a major remodel. Timing could not have been more challenging. Regina and her team walked on water. She managed the entire project, got the house on the market & sold with the efficiency of a professional at the top of their game. We may have even broken a record with the sale price (per square feet). Everyone won, the house is a gem. My only regret is that I can not import her to soCal for future transactions.

I am a hands off person and only on a need to know basis. I like that Regina and Tom took care of everything. Initially they would ask me for my opinion but then they knew I didn't care and had given them a wide range of authority to get what needed to be done, they knew to only call me if absolutely necessary. I think it's all about communication. I didn't want to know and I didn't want to micromanage. If you do, you need to set that expectation at the beginning so you can get update calls. For example, I didn't know the color my kitchen until I dropped off a check for the contractor and saw the cabinet was white, subway tiles on the walls and new quartz counter top. I didn't think anything was wrong with the granite or my kitchen in the first place but whatever. I didn't want to be stress out with the process. I gave them a budget and a deadline that I wanted the house to show for open house. I had to push it up because I didn't want it to conflict with Super Bowl. It gave them less time to do all the items on their list. They met both my requests. That was my only conditions for allowing a lot of latitude on what they want to do. Overall, it is like List It or Love It, but instead it's List It and Love It. They made the house much better and more functional. For example, they had a deck built outside to the back where it was concrete and uneven so water can drain out. With a deck and opened patio door from the dinning room, it extended the entertainment space enormously. They included sitting benches as part of the deck so not only is it even ground to place outdoor furniture, it increased the seating capacity. When I received multiple offers with love letters, everyone mentioned how much they love the deck. The house showed very well and exceeded my expectation. I did very little work to prep the house. The hardest part was probably writing the checks to the contractor, painter, stager, gardener, etc but it in the end I feel it was worth it. The offers I received increased the value significantly. I wish I had more homes for them to sell. - [ ]

Regina and Tom bring expert skill and class to home selling.  They know how to bring buyers in and present your house at its best.  They exceeded our expectations throughout the sale and found us a great value on our new home.  Put simply, their team gets it done.  It was fun working with them and by the end they felt like family.  My son still asks to visit Regina and draw in her office.  Where you live is personal and who you trust with it should be just as personal.  I can't recommend Regina and Tom more highly.

Regina and her entire team were amazing from start to finish. She helped us sell our home, and then buy the home of our dreams. She even helped us make arrangements for improvements on our newly purchased property. Every step of the way she far exceeded our expectations. I can't say enough positive things about Regina and everyone of the people who work with her.

Regina worked with us to get the best price for our house. I found her great to work with. I recommend her to my friends that need a real estate agent in Oakland. Below is a quick summary of the work she did for us. She developed a written proposal that included market analysis, comps for selling the house as-is, comps for selling the house fixed up and her general marketing plan. She managed the work to fix up our house for sale. She was great in advising us what work to do and how to do it. As an example, she brings in a colorist at her expense to determine the colors that will sell the best. She arranged for the painter to come and paint the inside and outside of the house. She arranged for the floor people to come and refinish the floors. She arranged for the landscaper to clear out our overgrown yard and redo the landscaping. And so on. The people that she brought in did very nice work at a good price. We would not have been able to get people to come in that quickly to give bids and do the work. She and her husband Tom were great during the fix up stage of our house in terms of communicating what was going on and being flexible. I wanted to have the work outlined before we moved out of the house and out of the Bay area, which they did. They had workers start right after our move out date. When we said we would be coming back to visit friends and wanted to see the house, they arranged to have the floor people start early so we could see the floors. (They were slightly ahead of schedule so they could make this change.) When they put the house on the market, they had a photographer take great pictures of the house to post on the internet. They had 2 open houses as planned. There were about 150 groups at our first open house and 80 at the second open house. We got 16 bids. Several of them were for way more than I would have thought by looking at the sold prices on Zillow. Overall, we followed their advice 95% of the time. We let them work the details such as the color of the house and what types of plants to plant. We wanted them to use their expertise on the most cost effective way to fix up the house for sale. We didn't want to be involved in the details; especially since we moved out of the area. Regina was great on communicating. I wanted to set up a conference call for updates at a particular time; she did that. Another poster commented that when you call her, it often rolls to voice mail. True, but I found that she calls back pretty quickly. I also found that when she is meeting with me I have her undivided attention, which I appreciate. This means she isn't answering the phone when others call her while she is meeting with me. Regina was great at explaining things and helping me to understand the options along with pros and cons. I would describe her as intelligent and very organized. She knows her business and the market. She is very good communicator. She drives things along; something we wanted. She also gave us time to think about things when we need time to think things over. She also works hard to smooth out any bumps along the way. Her advice worked out well for us. As I said earlier, she got us top dollar for our house. We are very pleased with her work.

Regina and Tom have built a solid brand in the East Bay and they know how to get a great result for their clients. If I were selling or buying another home in the area, I wouldn't use anyone else. They know how to prep, market and sell a home and maximize the potential of the sale. Regina isn't the cuddliest person on the planet but is that really what you want from a real estate agent? No! You want someone who will do their job with unflinching attention to detail and get you the most money for you home. Well, that describes Regina perfectly. Her recommended vendors were largely top-notch too, which is rare. Regina is a great agent.

Regina Jacobs is a well-known name in the East Bay real estate market and for a good reason. When it came time to sell my home, I interviewed several realtors. In the end, I chose to have Regina represent me, which was one of the best business decisions I have made in my 53 years!! My decision to sell my home came at a time when I wanted to downsize to a condominium. When I first met Regina and her husband, Tom, I advised them I had placed a contingent offer on a condominium in a very desirable building in Jack London Square. I needed to sell my home quickly and receive enough proceeds in order to make that move. Regina and Tom spent a few hours with me walking through the house during our first meeting. They returned two days later and presented to me a well thought out plan on how to best market my home. Regina's presentation included comparable sales in my area in order for me to understand what needed to be done to facilitate a sale and what expectations I could have in my particular market. Once we agreed to work together, Regina brought in a team of people to prepare my home for market. We began with three extremely thorough inspections of the house in order for me to assess what work needed to be done prior to listing the property. The general contractors, painting contractors, roofing contractors and incredible stager Marlene Wharmby then worked their magic to make my home shine as it made its way onto the market. The work conducted on the house was excellent and accomplished quickly to meet my condominium contract time constraints. Regina and her team took care of everything for me. Regina kept me informed of the work being done, along with any necessary changes to our plan. The process was seamless. In the end, my home looked beautiful. We held two consecutive Sunday open houses and received multiple offers the following Wednesday. My home sold for well over our asking price and, thanks to Regina, I am on my way to my new home!! To say there was one thing I loved about working with Regina would be impossible because there were so many things that made me appreciate and respect her during this relationship. She was extremely responsive to me any time I needed to speak to her whether it be during business hours, evenings or weekends. Tremendous stress comes with selling your home. Regina helped me through my stressful moments by keeping me informed on how things were going and calming me when I needed it most. Her savvy business expertise led me through a very foreign process to an excellent outcome on the sale of my home. Without Regina, I feel I would not have achieved my necessary goals in order to move into the next phase of my life. I would strongly recommend Regina to anyone selling their home. She will take good care of you. She will protect you and your interests every step of the way. You will be her primary concern as she guides you through a successful sale of your home. She is, as I said previously, AMAZING!!
