In March 2021, our "faith" in our own property for sale, as an older home, was just not there. However, Jill saw something in our home that we did not. There are only a few instances in ones life when you meet someone professionally but end up befriending them for life. Jill has not only been our real estate agent but also a great friend.

We were first time home buyers and Jill held our hand through the entire process. She never pressured us even when we saw houses that checked all the boxes but we knew they weren't for us. She often said "you have to love the house and I want you to be happy when I hand you the keys". In the end, we found a home we loved and she was there with a bottle of champagne and a set of keys to our new home!
Jill genuinely cares and continues to go above and beyond even after the closing. She introduced us to her own vetted service pros (flooring, painters etc.) and is ALWAYS available to answer questions. One of things we most appreciate about Jill is that she is consistently responsive -- if she can't answer your call, she texts back within a few mins to acknowledge the message and calls back when she said she would.
We trust Jill completely and are so grateful that we had her on our side through the home buying (and now, renovation) process. We'd be happy to speak to anyone considering Jill!

Entrusted the sale of my home to Jill under less than ideal circumstances She took care of all the presale prep the house looked great got multiple offers. She is a total professional, well connected, great to work with with fabulous communication skills. without doubt best experience I've ever had in a real estate transaction. Don't negotiate her commission just hire her.

We didn't have YELP back in 2001 but that's where the story starts with a review about a wonderful experience that took place back in 2001, can you believe it ?
In 2001 I wanted to sell my Montclair home and knew very little about the process, so I started by walking into the first Real Estate office I found in Montclair Village. Well, who do you think was at the front desk ?Jill Carrigan, boy, little did I know how fortunate I was. First of all I met someone that made me feel at ease and as I think I am a good judge of character (I was right) I felt I had met a very honest person. I listed my house with Jill and she went above and beyond to make it ready but NEVER did she make a decision without my approval. On top of that I got more for my house than we had hoped for. This kind of care and support is why after almost 20 years I stay in touch with Jill. I would recommend Jill to anyone who needs a Professional, Honest, Caring Realtor.

I am writing to extol praise on my great collaboration with Jill Carrigan in selling my Oakland home. Jill was recommended by a good friend after the sale of his home. I found Jill to be personable and professional from the first interaction. With our first walk through she was able to give me honest feedback with her recommendations of what it would take to make the house most presentable and likely to bring in the best offers. She is knowledgeable about the properties in my neighborhood so that any improvements would likely help to make my listing competitive and desirable. She was right every step of the way. She assured me that any money spent on improvements would bring in offers that would exceed my investments. This turned out to be true. In fact, there were moments after seeing the completed work with staging that I questioned if I was doing the right thing in selling. Of course, my story ends in a very satisfying way.
I can go on and on about Jill, but I must also give a lot of credit to her team of professionals who she recommended in the home renovations, design recommendations and staging. Every one of these individuals was pleasant to work with and extremely competent in the execution of their work.
Selling a home can be an emotional journey. Having Jill at my side was comforting and reassuring. There were moments of angst, especially as I realized the cost of some of our renovations. But in the end I was rewarded with multiple offers that brought this adventure to a most pleasing conclusion.

We recently worked with Jill to sell our house, and she is indeed a master of her craft. We knew we wanted to work with her the moment she first met us at our house, and immediately told us all the things we could do to optimize our listing. She is professional, sharp, and to the point. Plus, she puts in the work and hustles every step of the way. She respects your opinion certainly, but she isn't a luke warm agent that isn't sure what to do. She was precise from first meeting through closing. She has a great design taste, and even helped us to project manage a fairly sizable renovation, helping us find contractors and designers to make the project work. I have no idea what we would have done without her!

Our family home in the Oakland Hills recently sold for $450,000 above the asking price and for more than we expected. The buyers paid all cash and the deal closed in less than a month from the first open house. Jill Carrigan supported us even before we started fixing up our family home to sell by doing her best to help our tenants find alternative housing. Jill and the stager she recommended, Bonnie Pearson, were clear about which changes to the home would make it more appealing to current buyers. Jill was also clear about what changes would not increase the value of our home in the eyes of potential buyers. Jill recommended a number of craftsman for us to work with who were reasonably priced and good at what they do. We three siblings selling the house were not always that easy to work with but Jill showed remarkable diplomatic skills. We highly recommend Jill if you're looking for an experienced and successful real estate agent.
