We recently sold our house in the Glenview District of Oakland. We were represented by Jill Carrigan of The Grubb Co. The sale was a full circle experience so to speak, since Jill also represented us as buyers in 2001. We were doing a 1039 exchange and were running short on time. We lost out on several bids. It was more of a seller's market then, compared to the present. Up against time, we decided to look for a "fixer". Jill was in lock step with us and in a day had a number of "fixers" for us to see. Within a week we were able to purchase a house. When we were ready to list this house Jill distinguished herself 12 years earlier by stopping by a couple of times and asking our daughter (who was renting the house from us) how things were going and if everything was okay. We felt this attentiveness speaks volumes about how she represents her clients. Selling a house requires a lot of attention to details and requires an agent one can trust. From marketing material, staging, painting, repairs, and inspections, Jill scheduled and coordinated all of the work. Literally, we gave Jill the key and it all flowed. Jill did her job professionally and efficiently. She was in communication with us giving frequent updates or suggesting how to best navigate a bump in the road. Through Jill's efforts, we received 8 offers, all above asking (lowest 14%, highest 21%). The highest was also the most solid offer with no loan contingency. I believe the sale price set a record for the size of the house in the Glenview area. Do we recommend Jill Carrigan and The Grubb Co.? You betcha.

As first time homebuyers, we would highly recommend Jill Carrigan. She was our second realtor and calling her was the best decision we could have made in the arduous process. Jill came recommended by a friend, whom we should have listened to much sooner, as she truly made miracles happen for us.
Jill is extremely intelligent, hard-working, and professional. She is personable and kind, yet direct and explicit. Her communication throughout the entire journey was of note; she made herself available at all times for calls and responded to texts and emails promptly. She explained every part of the process clearly and always made sure we felt comfortable.
Jill had a multitude of resources to draw upon at all stages of the process. As teachers, we could not easily miss work for a few hours; she made herself readily available to meet contractors, plumbers, and the like in order to make things less demanding and more convenient for us.
Truly, and what made such a difference to us, was that we felt as though Jill genuinely cared about our family finding the perfect home. She gave us great advice and when it came time to present offers she was well prepared and ahead of the game. The relationship she formed with the seller's agent proved to be key in our bid getting accepted.
Even after closing, Jill continues to check on us to see if there is anything that we might need. Our young son still asks about Jill and whether we will see her on the weekend. We strongly recommend Jill and wouldn't hesitate to use her if we found ourselves in this process again

To say Jill Carrigan is a spectacular realtor is an understatement...she is beyond that!
Her professionalism, project management skill, eye for interior design, ability to listen and assess the needs of a client has helped us close four transactions in nine years. She successfully helped us purchase our starter to dream home and each were in competitive and/or multiple offer scenarios.
A few years ago Jill helped us in a transaction where we were the sellers. Anyone who has ever sold a house can tell you it is no easy task...and with an infant, Christmas holiday and a recession economy, it was downright daunting. Jill made it happened and educated us through the entire process. We could not have done it without her.
What stands out most about Jill is her integrity. She treats you with respect and is thorough and thoughtful. Working with her, you know she has your back.

Jill Carrigan is fantastic. She was recommended to us by friends who sold their Claremont Hills home. They couldn't say enough nice things about Jill and the process.
What stuck out to me when we first met was her professionalism, knowledge, confidence and kindness. I immediately sensed a great energy that seemed like some fused combination of determination and grace. I felt immediately that we would work well together.
Jill had little time to help us finalize the prep of our home before listing. She jumped in and took all of the stress and inconvenience out of it. She asked for a set of keys and met with all of the contractors, stagers, painters and handy men on behalf keeping the project on track. Jill's stepping in allowed us to stay at work and focus on the details associated with the new home we had just purchased. At the times that we didn't occupy the house during marketing, Jill came over, watered the plants and took care of my two cats. Jill really knew the things to do to make the marketing time more comfortable.
The sale was not without challenge. It's in the issues where you see the strengths of your agent. Out of nowhere we had a structural engineer do a flip flop versus his prior report creating less than ideal disclosures and a lot of stress. Additionally and unexpectently our house went on the market with 6 other comparable homes. This wasn't expected. Things were stressful for at least a week digesting these issues and their implications. Through that entire time Jill was calm, resourceful and extremely helpful. She accessed peers and experts to help us better determine our next move. She provided her recommendation - but did not force it down on us. She gave alternatives. Her recommendation was right on. We sold with multiple offers.
Jill followed it all of the way through to the end. Jill is meticulous with detail and expert communicator and a strong negotiator. She is also a warm person who really wants the best for her clients, understanding how important "home" is to us all.
