Liat Bostick became my realtor as much by default as anything else and I couldn't be happier with the results. I had been working with another realtor in the Montclaire Grubb & Co office to find a home in Oakland near to my daughter and her family. I had made one offer on a house next door to my family, but when the offer wasn't accepted, I sort of put the project on hold. A few months later, I was interested in another house in the neighborhood, but my original realtor was unfortunately called out-of-state for a family emergency. In stepped Liat Bostick! Friendly and professional, Liat walked me through the process of learning more about the house, answering my many questions, and then helping me put together a winning offer with very little time between when I first saw the house and the day the offers were due. At every step along the way, Liat was responsive, savvy, informative, and eager to make everything go smoothly. And her services did not end when escrow closed. In the ensuing months, Liat has continued to check in with me periodically to make sure things are going well. It is obvious that she knows her business well and that she puts her clients first. Liat was extremely helpful to me and my husband in buying a new home in Montclair. She was everything you'd look for in a realtor in this insane market-experience, competence, knowledge, and attention to detail. But more than anything, her patient, calm demeanor and sense of humor was what got us through the whole process. She helped us navigate through the various pros and cons of each house we looked at, and helped us develop a bid for the one we wanted, which we got! She continued to manage the process through closing, helping us with the final details afterwards. All in all, we highly recommend Liat!!

Liat is nothing short of a miracle worker - we had a list of requirements for a new home including school considerations and after being in despair about the upward market in the East Bay, really found our dream home and ideal situation. We can't say enough about our realtor Liat Bostick. Without her, we wouldn't be living in our dream home. She is a consummate professional, clear-eyed communicator, heartfelt listener, and fierce advocate for clients. Indeed, she was a fair but extremely effective negotiator. At the outset, she listened carefully to our wants and needs, helped us understand the market, encouraged us to view comps, and helped us formulate a successful bid. She guided us through each stage of escrow, showed up and responded to calls at all hours, provided excellent referrals and prepared us for potential obstacles or glitches that could arise. And it's a good thing she did. Without her foresight, we couldn't have navigated the many turns our escrow took. She helped us to keep what could have been a taxing process in perspective and to make clear-headed and rational decisions along the way. Liat's capacity to listen, empathize, communicate, educate, and negotiate are superb. I cannot recommend her more highly and thank her tremendously for guiding us to our new home.

After having had a less than stellar performance from our prior realtor, Liat was just what our home dream needed. We met her when she was the selling agent of another property and we'd gone to the open house. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and just all about her clients. She knows Oakland so well. I can't stress enough the importance of buying with a realtor who knows the area - they've seen, sold, and bought so many properties over the years. Liat was an invaluable partner.
We have seen her in the neighborhood since we moved in, and she came over for our housewarming recently. We can't say enough good things about her and will refer her often.

Liat is reliable, punctual, direct and clear. She listened carefully to our concerns and desires in selling the house, and provided expert counsel. She marshalled the services needed to prepare the house for sale, almost as a general contractor would have done. She was patient and helpful with our decision making on all matters related to the sale of the house, including improvements, and consideration of the offers.

Liat walked us through three real estate transactions. She helped us navigate the sometimes difficult waters during renovations and went above and beyond lining up all the work that needed to be done on our house.
