After looking for a home to buy in the Bay Area for almost a year, I was pretty discouraged. The market felt overwhelming and so competitive - I didn't know how I was going to find a way in. Enter Patrick. He spent months helping me figure out our financing - patiently connecting me with the right people and making sure I was getting the best deal. Then, we started to hunt for the perfect home. In my experience, most buying brokers will sit back, tell you to look at Zillow, and let them know when you've found something. Not Patrick! He was consistently sharing homes with me, coming up with ideas, and helping me to consider all the options. And he LISTENS! When I said something wasn't right for me, he took it on-board and adjusted his approach. Though I know he's been through the process countless times, he was incredibly patient with me, always giving clear eyed advice, but letting me make my choices.
When we finally found the home that would be mine, he knew (like I did) that it was "The One"! I've never seen someone move so fast, or work as hard, as Patrick did. I'll tell the stories on how he managed to get us into contract (well under Market!) in the space of 24 hours for the rest of my life.
If you want to really feel like your broker is working for you, and on your team, then you couldn't make a better choice than Patrick.

Patrick MacCartee went above and beyond what is expected of a real estate agent when it came to strategy, problem solving, availability, negotiations, and just about anything else you can think of. He also has a profoundly deep understanding of local real estate; from its architecture, history, pricing, and everything in between. Working with him is like having a seasoned local real estate investor at you side advising you through the whole process. I highly recommend

We were very fortunate to work with Patrick to buy our new home. His in-depth knowledge of the East Bay market was invaluable and I was really impressed with his negotiating skills. I couldn't be more pleased with my experience with Patrick. First, he's a sweetheart and really values relationships. Next, he knows his stuff in terms of the market, neighborhoods, and trends, but also the little things like the details in a house when you're doing a tour. He guided us through the process with grace, skill, and experience. He always responds incredibly quickly (including from a Hollywood Bowl concert!). And finally, he really helped us nail down a good deal and navigate closing with a difficult seller. AND, he saved us a ton of money by directing us to a much better mortgage provider. I could go on and on, but just work with him. You won't be sorry.

Patrick is a unique realtor - he combines knowledge of the local East Bay markets with a deep network of contractors, designers, architects and landscapers to help you not just purchase a house but create a home. Why isn't 10 stars a thing? Maybe buying a home is a smooth joyous process for many, but for me it messed with my head. While a great change, it was a GREAT change, big in scope and implication -- and a lot administratively at a very, very busy time for me professionally. Patrick's patience, insight, and unbelievably invaluable experience made the process painless at points and, dare I say, even fun! I came to think of Patrick as a full partner, helpmate, leader and therapist. I quickly had full confidence in his leadership and deeply appreciated his unwavering team player-ness. What a great listener! In addition, his deep network and deep netWORKING skills saved me time, stress, and lots and lots and LOTS of money. I cannot recommend Patrick more highly.
