This is way overdue- 6years overdue. Without Martha I don't think we would have been able to buy a house. The market was crazy but she worked hard to make it happen and we love our house. The part I loved most about her is that she knows the market and was realistic. She wouldn't let us put bids in for houses that would go over what we could afford. This meant a lot less stress because as a first time buyer it took a lot to commit to a house and then to be heartbroken when we didn't get it would have been too much for me, especially if it happened over and over again. I used Martha to buy my first house and then sell it 3 years later when we decided to move out of state. It was clear early on that we needed to make updates to our house in order to get the amount of money that we wanted - it was only a 1 bath and had a very out of date kitchen. Martha helped us figure out how to best spend our money to make the biggest impact renovations. We have young kids and were so grateful for the ways that Martha personally attended to so many items on the long to-do list. She was in the weeds with us - from designing (and installing!) landscaping and so many of the tiny details on the inside of the house, such as picking paint colors and light fixtures - really everything. Her wisdom about how to list and market the house was spot on. During its 2 weekends on the market we were her top priority, personally following up with every interested party. Martha came highly recommended to my wife and I from two different friends who bought houses in this rough East Bay housing market- It was very easy to see why they had nothing but good things to say about working with Martha. Of the handful of realtors we spoke to about starting to look for a home, Martha was the ONLY realtor who didn't treat us like paupers for daring to try and purchase a home out here without two FAANG salaries or Old Money. Martha did the work to find a number of very lovely homes in our price range and provided endless guidance regarding what would make for both a comfortable home to live in as well a solid investment. Martha is in outstanding realtor who has put many of our friends happily into their homes. Martha is amazing - she represented my wife and I as we purchased our first home. She is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to understand our wants and needs in the home buying process.
