Anja and her team helped us sell our home in Berkeley. They did an exceptional job - in every way. Anja is a real pro and knows the East Bay market well, including all the related contractor and finance worlds. If you want a real estate agent without a soul, look no further than Anja Plowright. My parents are now both deceased but I have had the unfortunate trauma of being sued by the buyers of their house. During this process I was privy to Anja and her clients exchanges and also her other communications regarding the case. I should mention that the buying and selling of the house were all under Grubb's umbrella but when problems arose, she immediately threw my parents under the bus and recommended legal counsel rather than any benefit of the doubt inquiry into the matter. It should also be mentioned that it was absolutely known how elderly and frail my parents were. Additionally, she coerced the other real estate agent and my parents into paying for a broken water line that they contractually were not responsible for and the CFO of Grubb signed off on this as well. I'm sorry, but ignorance of the contract is no excuse and I'm pretty sure if my parents were rich young techies and the roles were reversed they would have bent over backwards to find this part of the contract to get their clients out of paying for this water line because it was not their responsibility! Anja's communications in this matter are horribly egregious and on top of that she's clearly brown nosing the buyers. I can assure you that my parents were not taken out to any expensive restaurants to discuss anything at all. At one point she even has the gall to ask my parent's agent if they will pay for the sewer lateral line even though there's a whole page devoted to who is responsible for that in the contract and it's a city ordinance that the buyers pay it. Even when she gets a message from my parent's agent that my mom has died and my father is very frail and in assisted living she doesn't offer any condolences to the agent about her client and she still pushes for her clients to sue over failure to disclose despite the fact that my dad was 90 during the sale of the house and my mom had advanced Parkinson's with cognitive features. I kind of felt like Snowden reading these emails. So moral of the story: if you want a shark Anja might be the way to go but then again some people believe Trump is a real estate genius too
