When we started this process, we weren't just selling a house — we were letting go of a home my mom had owned for over 50 years. It needed real work to become what it could be, and honestly, we didn't know where to begin. Regina did.
From our very first conversation, she walked us through what actually mattered: which updates would move the needle and which ones weren't worth our time or money. That kind of judgment only comes from real experience, and we trusted it completely. Regina was phenomenal! After we first contacted her, she immediately got back to us and already had a plan. She was always available via phone, text, email, came to see us multiple times in person (even though we are way out of the area of clients she normally represents), etc. And she always did this in an appropriately timely manner.
Regina's market knowledge was critical in purchasing our home - she had clearly done her research, so much so that her original offer recommendation was accepted, even though the offer was below the original asking price, was countered, and there were other offers. We got the home for exactly what we wanted and what she recommended. We had a lot of financial constraints that she patiently helped guide us through to make the offer stick.
Regina's professionalism is unmatched. When we started casually looking for a new home, we met many other agents in the process. None of them could match what Regina offered us on a personal level. She was timely in her responses, respected our financial limits and what we wanted in a new home, and met us our level for what our family needed.
What stands out about Regina is how our family felt that she always had our family's best interest at heart. It felt as though she was invested in the process as though it was her and her own family buying this home. What also stands out was how willing she was to help us find the right mortgage people for us and how willing she was and still is to refer out what we want to do with our new home after we closed. She has helped us map out a plan to make upgrades, giving us realistic timelines financially.
Even though this is our dream home and we plan on living here probably the rest of our lives, if we ever decided to buy again we would only use Regina. Hopefully, she won't retire before our three children buy their homes because we certainly want her to represnt them!

Regina did such a good job on remodeling the house. She walked me through everything made sure everything looked amazing. She is super friendly and very helpful. Always answer my calls walk me through everything. I would definitely recommend her to anybody else. I would have liked to get a little more money for the house, but I understand why it couldn’t happen.

Regina Jacobs was recommended by everyone, including realtors we met in other counties. We'd met her in open houses through the years and decided to go with her based on the strength of the word of mouth reviews we'd heard.
From the start she was honest, professional, understanding, and, client-centered.
She was always available to help us with the many confusing aspects of the selling process.
Relationship-wise, she would call a contractor or materials store and they would instantly be on board. At one point, someone offered to open their closed store immediately so we could look at finishes!
That relationship building worked on our end as well. We never felt "handled" or pushed into anything. She was entirely on top of all the prep work that needed to be done. We joke that it's too bad we can't hire Regina to run our next remodel.
We had, naturally, concerns over getting the house ready for sale. She always worked within our budget, but as a seller, you can't know if the money is well spent until the sale happens. My wife and I are both financiallly cautious prople. In the end, we followed her suggestions.
When we sold our home for well over what we ever imagined we would get, I said to her, "Regina, we did everything you asked and you delivered."
Despite a very strong offer, she made sure we had a back-up in contract as well. She was always prepared for different scenarios and I always felt that she was being honest with us.
Regina was a true partner in the sale of our home and a kind and communicative person with an incredibly deep knowledge of all the aspects of the market here, from finishes to staging to landscaping to contracts and permits.

We had a great experience working with Regina Jacobs at The Grubb Company to sell our home in the Oakmore neighborhood in Oakland. We started speaking with her about a year before listing, and her advice on what to do to prepare and when to go to market was incredibly helpful.
When it came time to sell, we were actually out of the country, but Regina handled everything, including cleaning, prepping, and staging. The listing generated strong interest, we received 10 offers, and ultimately sold for a great price.
