Brenda is the best agent in Oakland and knows Oakland market like no other. Her strategy has exceeded our expectations and we have just recently sold our apartment in 7 days way above our asking price. We had been active in our house hunt off and on for years (anyone searching in the Bay Area knows how difficult buying a home is here). We needed to switch realtors and asked some friends for their referrals. Brenda was quick to meet with us and learn about our needs. She understands the Oakland market well, the variety of factors at play during the pandemic and she showed us some great properties. Brenda is very well connected and is always networking. She learned of an off-market opportunity that we were able to seize. We went in to contract and Brenda and her team at The Grubb Co., and her recommended broker were all extremely knowledgeable, professional and prompt at every step of the transaction. Brenda Schaefer is a fantastic real estate agent. She is deeply involved in the extremely competitive Piedmont / Oakland Hills market, and has substantial experience that is useful to buyers and sellers. She recently represented us in the sale of our Piedmont home, and added significantly to the transaction with her suggestions for improvement, pricing, and marketing. She also coordinated a network of professionals, completing various items in a very timely manner that lead to a transaction on a tight timeline. Brenda is the perfect agent. She has great instincts and really understands the market. We were just starting to think about buying a new house and a friend recommended Brenda to us. She let us take the lead in how much help we needed or wanted. She really listened and never pushed. She was always available to answer questions, give advice or show us a house. When we did find the perfect home she knew exactly what to do to help us navigate the process.

BRENDA WORKED MAGIC FOR US! As first time home buyers we were super worried but Brenda walked us through each step and made sure we were comfortable and understood all the many parts of the process. In a crazy market such as this one, she helped us find a wonderful house that met our needs and then some!!!. When it came to finding us a home she was excited, caring, attentive, diligent and very communicative.We asked a million questions and she was always there to respond quickly and thoroughly. I'm positive we would not have had the success we did had it not been for her. The only down side to finding our new home is we miss seeing her all the time!

I highly recommend Brenda and would work again with her in a heartbeat. She helped me find and purchase my current home in an extremely tight timeframe as my husband and I were expecting our first child together. I had been pretty disappointed with realtors I worked with in the past and Brenda was quite different. She's extremely responsive, very professional, makes herself availabile to meet in person and genuinely cares about finding good homes for her clients. I was moving out of SF to the East Bay and wasn't very familiar with the market or area in general. She is extremely knowledgeable over the Oakland/Piedmont/Rockridge area and how competitive the market is - she helped us strategize the best approach to get our offer accepted, with a loan contingency. She also used to work in escrow so she understands a lot of the behind the scenes work that happens to get the deals closed and can more effectively manage all the players working on the deal because of that. On top of all that, she's extremely kind and overall a very pleasant person.
