We lived in Piedmont for 19 years, in a century-old house in which we raised our kids, so the prospect of moving out and putting it on the market to sell was emotionally as well as logistically daunting. We wanted someone who really understands the local market and would help us with the entire process of moving and getting the house in the best shape possible for top value. Thankfully Jane Strauch was recommended to us. From our very first email query, she was responsive and caring. She mapped out a plan for us to organize and make top-priority repairs to the house, then helped us line up the movers, and finally, she expertly hired a designer to stage the home. Throughout the process, her assistant Carrie helped handle all the details of repairs and cleaning out our house (which was a huge task), so we felt we had a team working for us. One thing great about Jane is she has a whole cadre of home experts at her fingertips, all very reasonably priced, so when we needed to do something on the home to prep it for sale, she handled it quickly and affordably. Finally, when it was time to market the home, she made it look absolutely stunning. She was totally informed about every other house in the area that was coming to market, and she knew how to strategize on all aspects of staging, marketing and networking among agents to make ours stand out as the best and most special. We trusted her advice when we settled on the asking price, and sure enough, it was a just-right price for the economic climate and the other housing inventory for sale. She and Carrie handled every detail of the open house and calmed our nerves. Finally when it was time to hear offers, we thankfully received multiple, and witnessing Jane's communication with the other agents was truly impressive in terms of her combination of firmness, persuasion and likable straight-talk honesty. We are confident we got top dollar for our home, with excellent conditions and a short escrow. We really feel Jane took care of us every step of the way, right down to being with us at the final title signing and giving us big hugs and making sure we were doing OK. I can't recommend her enough; if ever we had to buy or sell a home in the East Bay again, we would definitely want to work with her.

Jane Strauch is the best realtor in the East Bay area, especially Piedmont. I had worked with other realtors in the area for the purchase of our home and knew well before we ever sold our home that we'd be using Jane S to sell.
Jane and Carrie were amazing, they got our house on the market in only a couple of short weeks. They negotiated the price down with all of our vendors for staging, keeping our cost to list as low as they could. They put blood sweat and tears into getting our house sold as quickly as possible for the highest price and we were very satisfied where we landed, even in a slower season for real estate.
They put their own great personal touches on the staging to give the house exactly what it needed to sell and when we got a low ball offer, they got the buyers to come up.
Highly recommend Jane to anyone looking to buy or sell. There are a lot of realtors out there who aren't looking out for your best interest. Jane and team certainly are there 100% for their clients. Go with Jane Strauch and don't look back.

We worked with Jane recently to purchase our home in the East Bay. She was amazing from start to finish. She was always available to answer questions or pop-in and view homes with us. She made the whole buying process SO easy. She was upfront, transparent and just really, really approachable. She's also a fighter and knows how to get the job done, especially when a few hiccups get thrown your way. She's lived in the area for years and raised her family here so she has a huge network of contacts, colleagues and friends which is so helpful when the market is as competitive as it is. You'll be lucky to have someone like Jane in your corner and I can't recommend her highly enough!

Jane has a full time assistant Carrie and they are a great team both warm and caring and capable people.
Jane said at the start of the selling process that she could sell my house as is and all I had to do was to move out all of the stuff that I wanted to keep and give her the key and stand back. Futher more, Carrie would handle all of the details of trash removal, yard maintenance, permits, inspections etc etc. Oh and most importantly I should not worry about anything.
Unfortunately, I did worry, but fortunately they were fabulous and did everything that they said they would do.
My friend who recommended Jane said that she was a Great agent and Terrific person (or was it the other way around).
Oh did I mention, the old house sold quickly, with multiple offers, all cash, no contingencies, 5 day escrow, and way over asking price and the escrow closed seamlessly.

Jane had the best market intel, worked tirelessly on our behalf, and gave us clear and thoughtful counsel when we had to make big decisions. We don't often encounter partners with the combined expertise, reliability and likeability of Jane, so she earns a big shout out!

Jane is a rock star! She recently represented me in the sale of my home under very difficult circumstances. She and her assistant Carrie Sullivan not only helped prepare that house for sale in record time, they made me feel supported and taken care of during the process. Jane is a consummate professional who knows the market inside and out. I had utter faith in her ability to get me the best price for my home but she blew me out of the water. Her excellent advice and tireless efforts on my behalf, coupled with her incredible negotiating skills, resulted in my home selling 46% over asking with 11 offers. She is a joy to work with and I cannot recommend her highly enough!!!

Jane is simply the best! Because of her hard work and extensive network, she was able to find a home off market. Because of her personal experience of investing and flipping, I knew insticts were spot on. When it came to selling - Jane's marketing included extended open houses, media outreach, social media etc., but what really sets her apart, is her negotiating skills. It was so much fun to witness her in actiona. Jane was brilliant and I can't thank her enough!

Jane was incredible! Every property she brought me to was better than the next. She really understood what I wanted and went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy throughout the whole process. She also negotiated us a great deal on our property and we were able to get it off the market super quickly, which was one of my biggest concerns. The next time I need representation I won't hesitate one bit to have her on my team!
