Unhei is, simply put, amazing. She sat with us and helped us be realistic about what we would find in our budget range. She was patient as we toured houses. She had to work extra hard in dealing with a difficult seller's agent but kept her poise and good humor throughout our home buying process. I am certainly not eager to do the process again but everything about Unhei's guidance made it easier than it is designed to be. I cannot recommend her highly enough and would use her again in a heartbeat!

Unhei is incredible. We whole-heartedly recommend her services. We actually churned through a few realtors before randomly meeting Unhei at an open house. Her authenticity, expertise, warmth - we immediately connected.
For almost 2 years (yes, patience is another one of her strengths) she stuck it out with us through all the ups and downs until we finallyyyy closed. She has such a kindred heart, yet can be equally fierce. She has an uncanny intuition, yet is super flexible. She's openly honest, yet has plenty of business savvy.

Unhei just helped me sell my place in Oakland. She has helped fix the dry rot and remodel the bathroom for the place The work was done beautiful and more importantly it is within my budget and on schedule. I will definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for an agent.

Unhei helped my wife and I purchase a new home. We couldn't have been more impressed with her knowledge, negotiation skills, professionalism, and tact during the home purchasing process. She was able to expertly hone in one our home style/taste and provide us with a list of homes that we would like in our price range.
Unlike other agents we have dealt with in the past, she did an excellent job listening and incorporating our opinions before providing her own feedback. She also did an amazing job keeping us informed and involved during the negotiation and closing process. My wife and I both felt comfortable stepping back and letting Unhei take the lead. We knew we were always in good hands and never had to worry about scheduling or planning aspects of the home purchase.
Given our type-A personalities, it is amazing that we were able to find someone that we could trust and let lead. We have been so impressed with Unhei that we are entrusting her to sell our condo without any reservations or apprehension. My wife and I have worked with other agents in the past and we have never found one that we would recommend as much as Unhei. We strongly recommend reaching out to her if you are interested in buying or selling a home.

We felt so fortunate to find Unhei, through a wonderful service called My Broker Donates. Unhei did a phenomenal job in getting our place ready for sale. She guided us through every step of the process, making it MUCH easier than I ever anticipated. She was very responsive, always getting back to us right away. We really appreciated her warmth and personal touch, which eased our stress tremendously. She worked within our time parameters, as we were leaving our jobs and moving cross country, which felt daunting to us. Unhei was ALWAYS reassuring! She was conscientious about making sure that she had our okay with anything that she recommended. She also set realistic expectations about the price for our home. In navigating the multiple offers we received over the asking price, Unhei helped us to understand why the highest offer was not necessarily the best one. Ultimately, we chose the right buyer for our home, and got the best price possible as well. Overall we could not have been happier with our experience. We would HIGHLY recommend Unhei. Unhei was incredibly insightful and helpful to my wife and I as we went through the process of purchasing our house. This was our first purchase so it came with perhaps a few extra nerves on our end but we never felt overly pushed by her. (A little nudge here and there to move quick in a crazy market was helpful.) We were moving back to the East Bay after a few years away so her knowledge of specific communities was of help to us. Whenever there was an inspection or other types of oversight needs she was all over them in a super quick and timely manner. Her communication was great. We would highly recommend working with Unhei.

Unhei helped me buy and sell my first home. Not only does she have the most incredible sense for finding just the right house that suits your character and criteria, she makes sure you are prepared for every step of the process. She is amazingly patient and goes above and beyond to make sure you are clear and comfortable with everything that is happening -- because there's a lot to keep track of. If you are selling, please listen to Unhei when it comes to staging. She has the most incredible design sense. She will bring your place to life and help buyers see the potential for what they can also do once they move in.
I am currently in the process of buying another home. It's not in Oakland. it's not even in the State of California (sigh). And while I spent time finding an excellent real estate agent, she is not Unhei. It's difficult to work with anybody else after you have found the best.

We were so fortunate to work with Unhei Kang to both purchase and sell our home. Among her many shining qualities: she's detail oriented, knows her field, is efficient, super smart, professional and really kind-hearted. She always took the time to answer our questions, show us many listings, provide us with comps and ensure that we had all the paperwork together that we needed (and there's a lot of paperwork involved!). We trusted her in the recommendations she made for selling our home and everything that she anticipated and forecasted seem to come true.
She is so hard working and puts so much care into the work she does. To prepare our house for sale, Unhei worked to coordinate all the contractors who came in and out of the house and to ensure that the work was completed in a quality manner. Because she's so detail oriented, she always noticed when there were light bulbs that needed to be replaced or electrical plates that were missing. When she noticed that there should be a stronger lock for the gate, she even took the initiative to purchase and replace for us. Prior to the open house, we stopped by the house and found Unhei vacuuming and freshening up the room so everything looked just right.
Her response time was pretty incredible too - every email, text and phone call we placed to her was answered right away.
We trusted her advice and are very glad we did so. We hope to have the pleasure of working with her again when we purchase our next home!
