Robert A. Belzer was born in Oakland, attended grammar school and junior high in Berkeley, and attended Oakland High and U. C. Berkeley. He graduated from the University of California Hastings College of the Law in 1968 first in his class of 300. He clerked for Justice Raymond L. Sullivan on the California Supreme Court from 1968 to 1969 and has practiced real estate and business law in the East Bay ever since except for a three year period when he served as Vice President and General Counsel to a Fresno-based real estate developer and home builder. Bob has represented many buyers and sellers over the years and has participated in structuring hundreds of transactions. He has advised clients on exchanges and has represented borrowers and lenders. He has formed many entities and is aware of how the day to day real estate business works and has solved many of the day to day problems that arise in transactions. Since he has lived in the East Bay for his entire life he is intimately familiar with the Oakland-Berkeley-Piedmont areas. His background and knowledge will give an added dimension to all aspects of The Grubb Co.
