A graduate of UC Berkeley, and Cornell Law School, she initially practiced as a lawyer in a private law firm, then as in-house counsel for the fine art and luxury goods auction house Sotheby's. Later, as director of business development her career took her around the world, and she has lived and worked in New York, Paris, London, Beijing, and Hong Kong. However, she never stopped calling the Bay Area home, and in 2013 returned to pursue her true passion in real estate.
