Cynthia is hands-down, THE best. We were first-time homebuyers, and she went to bat to help us understand what we wanted in the Easy Bay - an area we were interested in, but honestly did not know very much about, from a real-estate perspective.
Cynthia was full of great vibes from the moment she called us back. The first time we met with her, she took us through 10 properties on paper. She took us to 7 different open houses, and drove us around to see a range of different neighborhoods (even the ones that we were slightly curious about, but didn’t know at all). She had an encyclopedic knowledge of all the different neighborhoods in the East Bay. For us, her knowledge of the area really helped us understand what we wanted – but just as importantly, helped us understand what we didn’t want. At the end of that very same day, she took us to what turned out to be the house we closed on.
When we were making an offer on the house, Cynthia was so amazing savvy in guiding us through the offer process. She ended up saving us money. By letting us know what was really important to the seller, we were able to get the house without being the highest offer (which is still shocking to us, given the current environment). Also, she suggested an offer strategy that ended up saving us money on property taxes after purchase, which is something we hadn’t considered.
Best of all, Cynthia was just plain awesome to work with. She’s fun, responsive, incredibly accommodating (went through paperwork with us line-by-line at 1am the night before the seller was taking offers). She was with us, and for us, from beginning to end. Buying a house, as you might know, can be an incredibly emotional ride for first-timers. Throughout the whole process, we felt like she was in our corner, and supported us every step of the way. She was there for us every time we needed her - from when we were trying to make decisions when we were out of town, to the signing and closing, and through helping us build a relationship with the seller (before and after closing).
Even now, after we’ve moved in, she still answers every question that we have. Cynthia is an amazing realtor and an even more amazing person. We trusted her implicitly throughout the whole process. We wouldn’t change anything if we had to do it all over again. Thank you, Cynthia. - Mike L.
Cynthia was an invaluable asset to my husband and me during our house buying experience. The market in the East Bay is extremely competitive and we really struggled to find the right house at the right price for us. Cynthia never wavered and when we felt we were at the end of our house-hunting rope, she would present us with other ideas and suggestions. After several offers which were not high enough, we finally got the right house at the right price and just days before we had to be out of our home. She even negotiated a deal to move into the new house before our closing, saving us from having to rent in the transition. Cynthia was so kind and so helpful during one of the most difficult transitions in our lives. We will always be grateful to her and would recommend her in a heartbeat. - Lee & Marco
Cynthia Spears is the most friendly, thoughtful, hard working real estate agent I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Due to relocating I was an incredibly motivated, but somewhat confused buyer, as I sure if I wanted to buy in Concord or Oakland. Cynthia energetically took me on tours of both areas, spending hours with me during the week and weekend. Being a bay area native her knowledge of this area is profound. She met me wherever I was when paperwork needed signing; always making things easy. Cynthia made me feel like my urgency was hers and that she genuinely cared about my well being and finding me the perfect home. And that is exactly what happened! I got my dream house on a hill with a view and the most amazing back yard. I can’t wait to work with her again in the future and refer her to anyone I know buying a me! -Shannon C
