Paul Templeton

In 1982, after years as a manager of Berkeley’s legendary Mason McDuffie Company, Paul Templeton founded the TEMPLETON COMPANY. Through good times and bad, the TEMPLETON COMPANY grew to become the finest boutique brokerage in Berkeley, priding themselves on selling the great masterpieces in the hills as well as the lovely Craftsman bungalows and cottages that are also a significant part of Berkeley’s architectural history. Upon invitation Templeton Company also enjoyed a ten-year association with Christie’s Great Estates, made up of 121 of the greatest brokers from around the world and became a partner of an unparalleled referral network.

In the spring of 2002, the TEMPLETON COMPANY joined forces with Donald Grubb Jr. and John Karnay under The GRUBB Co. banner. The tradition of excellence of these two great companies continues as one locally owned firm, offering buyers and sellers, fine service from two locations, Oakland and Berkeley, with the exclusive Christie’s affiliation intact for cross country referrals.

Paul Templeton continues to participate in the sale of Berkeley properties, many of which he has sold a number of times. “Those great houses and my friends who live in them are like an extended family to me, I do enjoy them all.”

As a Broker Associate, Paul will interview prospective BUYERS and introduce them to a fine GRUBB Co. agent or a Christie’s affiliate in other cities.
