Whether organizing special events or national marketing campaigns in New York City, writing articles for national magazines, or helping local organizations develop and refine their programs, Carol has always excelled. She brings her clients that same dedication to quality; using her expertise in marketing and communications and her strong sense of service and style to help them successfully market and sell their homes and purchase new ones.

Her success in real estate attests to that, winning praise from her clients and ranking among the top producers in the country.

Carol’s extensive background in national marketing and communications, so crucial in today’s residential real estate market, has helped her succeed. She started her career in New York, where she served as publicity director for Triangle publication’s Seventeen Magazine, working with the national figures like Barbara Walters and several politicians. After moving to the San Francisco Bay Ara, she developed a public relations program for KQED-TV’s annual fund-raising auction. Once her two sons were born, she started her own writing and editing business, reporting regularly from home for Time Inc.’s Parenting Magazine.

She learned her love of homes and strong sense of design from her father, a prominent southern California architect and protégé of Ray and Charles Eames.

Carol has lived in Piedmont with her husband, David, since 1985 and the East Bay – Berkeley and the Oakland Hills -- since 1972. She has always enjoyed working with community groups and brings that same dedication to service to her clients. She was PTA president of Kaiser Elementary School in Oakland, helping the under-enrolled school double its enrollment in five years. She served as program chair of the Piedmont League of Women Voters, where she put on widely attended programs and re-wrote Piedmont Our Town, a community resource guide. And she was on the board of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Montclair, helping them hire a new, highly popular minister.

Comments from Past Clients

“You were the most hard working and effective real estate professional that we have ever experienced. Your marketing efforts worked so well that it was over in a flash. “We called Carol months before we planned to list our home for sale, because we knew we needed to make some repairs and improvements. She had a wealth of information and referrals to help us define the scope of work and finish the project. In the end, the house sold within a week of its first open with multiple offers, for well over asking price. We know we got our money’s worth from Carol and we had a lot of fun!”   - Helmar and Joan S.,sellers
